The Art Journal is written and produced by Arthur Kauffman, a writer and designer from Pittsburgh.

Most pictures on this website are taken either with a Pentax MX and Kodak Tri-X film or an Olympus E-P1 with a Panasonic 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens. Film photos are never edited, just scanned and uploaded. Digital images have been processed in Lightroom 4.
