It's a Lazy Spring Day

So today I broke out the bow from the hard black case up in the attic (where it's been sitting for the past 2 years) and shot at a Black Hole with my brother. It's a Browning Rage, maybe five years old but looks and shoots like new. I got it pimped out with a Trophy Ridge Mantis sight and a Whisker Biscuit, not to mention Limbsaver products all over (except for the one on the top limb, which fell off awhile ago and I never did locate it).

It was amazingly therapeutic for me. And while I could never use the bow to shoot whitetail deer again, there's something about puncturing the target, perfecting your form, and learning proper breathing and relaxation that can't quite be fulfilled any other way.

Who knows? I might start shooting regularly again.

Maybe I'll get good and be a target archer. Uh...or maybe not. I suspect I'll never shoot for competition again, whether at stationary targets or live ones. But as anaerobic exercise, who knows, I may continue it.
